Courses & Approach Triathlon Berlin
Detailed information about the routes and the event layout will be available in Jan/Feb 22 at the latest.
380 meters swimming - 7,5 lanes in 50m pool
The starts at the Berlin Triathlon are every 20 minutes, so you also have that long to swim the 380 meters. Since we want to swim 380 meters (and not 400 meters), the starting line is 20 meters in front of the pool edge. These 20 meters are the pre-start area. Like a swimmer’s highway, all 10 friends swim simultaneously and one after the other. It is a water start. You will have the opportunity to slowly enter the water and swim in before the start. If you don’t make it through the 7.5 lanes within 20 minutes , then the race still continues and can be finished regularly. There is no cut-off times – you will be in the pool for a short time with the following team.
18 kilometer cycling - 4 laps - Olympic Park
The bike lap is 4.5 kilometers long and will be ridden 4 times. With the feeder we come to a distance of 18 kilometers. This is 100% closed to car traffic and completely asphalted. The bike course is completely flat and suitable for beginner. Conventional “Holland bikes” or city bikes are just as suitable as racing bikes. The detailed course incl. Map will be announced in early 2022.
4.2 kilometer run - 2 laps inside the Olympic Park.
The 2.1-kilometer running loop will be run twice. During and after the race you will pass a total of 5 aid stations points with water and fruit. The course is flat and suitable for beginners. The track is flat and suitable for beginners. The detailed course incl. Map will be announced in early 2022.
